Description Sculptural figure "Ivan Mazepa"
Hetman of Left-Bank Ukraine (1687–1709), who strived to unite Ukrainian lands and preserved autonomy despite dependency on Muscovy. Mazepa actively supported culture, financed the construction of over 20 churches, and was a patron of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
Mazepa symbolizes inner dignity, political foresight, and devotion to culture. He understood the value of independence long before it became a common goal. His path reminds us that national identity is a conscious choice — one that often comes at a price, but without which freedom is impossible.
The toy is made using an original technique with a mixture of paper, sawdust, water, buckwheat husks, and paste.
Each figurine is hand-molded, kiln-fired at high temperatures, sanded, and painted by our artisans with acrylic paints in the style of vintage ornaments.
Thanks to this process, they are durable and resistant to mechanical damage. Small decorative elements — just like a hundred years ago — are carefully crafted from cotton wool and decorated with fabric appliqués.
Safe for children and pets — they don’t break. Eco-friendly and long-lasting.
