Description Couple Set of Vyshyvankas “V. Vyshyvanyi”
The collection is dedicated to a person who chose Ukraine with his heart.
Born as Archduke Wilhelm Franz von Habsburg-Lorraine, he had a title, influence, and a predetermined future. His path seemed already defined, yet he chose to rewrite it himself. The European aristocrat began learning the Ukrainian language, exploring our culture, and wearing the vyshyvanka. For some, it was unusual — but for him, it was the first step toward a new name. Thus, Vasyl Vyshyvanyi emerged. He served in the Legion of Ukrainian Sich Riflemen, became an officer of the Army of the Ukrainian People’s Republic, and consistently supported the idea of an independent Ukraine. This was no longer just an interest — it was a choice for which he had to take responsibility. He died for his principles — for the pursuit of freedom and Ukraine’s independence.
Our collection honors a personality who devoted his life to Ukraine and made an important choice that is especially relevant today.
To be born Ukrainian is fate. To be Ukrainian is a choice of the heart.
