Description Men’s Vyshyvanka by V. Vyshyvanyi
This collection is dedicated to a man who chose Ukraine with his heart.
Born as Archduke Wilhelm Franz von Habsburg-Lorraine, he had title, influence, and a predetermined future. His path seemed set, yet he decided to rewrite it himself. The European aristocrat began learning the Ukrainian language, exploring our culture, and wearing a vyshyvanka. For some, it was unusual, but for him — it was the first step toward a new identity. Thus Vasyl Vyshyvanyi was born. He served in the Legion of Ukrainian Sich Riflemen, became an officer in the Ukrainian People’s Republic Army, and consistently supported the idea of an independent Ukraine. This was no mere curiosity — it was a conscious choice, one he had to stand by. He died for his principles — for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
Our collection honors a personality who devoted his life to Ukraine and made an important choice, which is especially relevant today.
Koza Dereza will donate 1,000 UAH from each vyshyvanka sold to the Khartiya-Hub project. This network of educational spaces in the 2nd building of the National University “Khartiya” operates in Kyiv, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Dnipro, and Kharkiv.
The goal of the Khartiya-Hubs is to educate for the preservation of statehood and to reduce the gap between the army and society.
To be born Ukrainian is fate. To be Ukrainian is a choice of the heart.
The collection was created in collaboration with the project Vyshyvanyi. King of Ukraine.
