“Carpathian Animals” is a collection developed within our workshop. It was inspired by traditional Hutsul shirts, where paired images of animals were embroidered on the chest panels as protective symbols that safeguarded the wearer and reflected his identity.
The fabric closely resembles the handwoven textiles used for embroidered shirts in the first half of the 20th century. The voluminous embroidery is made entirely by hand using wool threads. The pattern was designed by the embroiderers of our workshop based on antique shirts.
The use of wool threads was characteristic of the western regions and mountainous areas, where sheep breeding was once widespread.
