This women's dress features a traditional shirt-style cut. We carefully selected coarse-woven linen for our Lvivska model. This fabric closely resembles the homespun cloth used to make shirts in the first half of the 20th century.

The intricate embroidery is done by hand using wool threads. The use of wool threads was typical in western regions and mountainous areas where sheep were raised. There is a version that black sheep were once bred in southern Ternopil, and their wool was used for embroidery threads, hence the prevalence of black color in the local traditional shirts. This color was considered a symbol of the earth, wealth, and fertility.

The pattern was developed by embroiderers in our workshop based on old shirts.

In addition to the women's dress, we have also created a men's shirt with an identical embroidery design.
