Trapeze-cut dress. A playful V-shaped neckline decorates the back, and the skirt is gently gathered at the back.
Inspired by a deep fascination with Trypillian culture, we created this embroidered dress featuring symbols of the sacred union of Sky and Earth — motifs discovered on clay female figurines from the Trypillian era.
Signs and symbols are an archaic language through which God speaks to us. Trypillian symbols were visual diagrams used by the Proto-Slavs to explain the structure of the universe.
The infinity symbol represents lineage, family, and continuity — it signifies endless love, the bond between generations, and the transmission of traditions and values from ancestors to descendants. The infinity motif is a sacred meander symbolizing cyclical existence and the triumph of Good over Evil.
The dress is hand-embroidered with wool threads. Before embroidery, the threads are specially treated to ensure durability, so the colors remain vibrant over time. Wool also creates a visually rich, three-dimensional texture.
It is worth noting that wool embroidery is traditional for Western Podillia. According to one theory, the predominance of black threads in local embroidery was influenced by the breeding of a special variety of black sheep, whose wool was used to produce the threads.
