Summer women's dress with a loose fit and short sleeves.
Embroidery from the Carpathian region of Lviv. It is called the small floral ornament that was used to decorate women's headscarves and jackets, which were called "kabats" here over a hundred years ago. Since the 19th century, these scarves started being called "Glorious Yavorivka" because the patterns consist of "pinecones," "little trees," "small cups," and "curves." They symbolize the abundance of blossoms in Ukrainian gardens.
The ornament is inspired by the pattern of an ancient Yavoriv headscarf from the National Museum in Lviv named after A. Sheptytsky.
